We’re big fans of anyone and anything that works hard to give new creative talent a bit of a boost. Hidden Art are well known for their initiatives that promote and support designer-makers, so I made a bee-line to their stand at 100% Design this morning, to check out what treats they’ve uncovered recently.

Loved the Balloon shaped bird feeder by Renata Manau of Biscuit Studio, which gave me a Winnie the Pooh moment.

‘Your Placemat or Mine’  moves the whole People Will Always Need Plates thing on, with a new range of table mats that feature British domestic architecture through the ages. Stick them all together to form a timeline and you get a a history lesson, while keeping your table crumb-free.

Like plates, you can never have too many vases. And Sprig, designed by Shan Annabelle Valla offers something a bit different to the usual cube, fishbowl and cylinder options. Made from glass tubes, shaped to look like stems, it makes the whole floral arrangement thing a doddle, too.

Like giant knitted ice cream scoops, these squishy DesignK Dandelion Stools tick several boxes, working together bold bright colour, natural materials, clever craftsmanship and a good dose of humour.
