Found ourselves in Cheltenham at the weekend. Not a day at the races, but a chance to browse the antiquey retro shops of The Suffolks. At Cheltenham Antique Market at 54 Suffolk Road, came across a glittering world of chandeliers. They drip down in the entranceway…

… lie heaped in piles upstairs and down…

… and are festooned from every available surface.

It’s a trove of glorious glittering glitz that made us feel quite regal.

But lacking a spare grand to turn our front room into a mini ballroom, we trotted round the corner to Capability, where we found this less ostentatious but rather lovely G Plan coffee table among other vintage gems.

Finished off at Revamp, which has great pre-loved and vintage clothes. And, helpfully, a comfy chesterfield for partners to rest awhile while some of us make the big buying decisions…
