I love a pop-up shop – especially close to Christmas when the quest for something that little bit different is at its most fierce. I  also have a bit of a design crush on Present & Correct, which probably stems from my slightly obsessive love of quality stationery (in which they specialise). But let’s not go there…

So news that the online retailer has opened a Christmas Pop-Up shop (or as they’re calling it, a Pop-In, which admittedly has a more homely ring) had me hotfooting it down to the House of Propellers in Clerkenwell for a sneaky stroke, sorry, peek…

Specialising in unusual, finely crafted stationery, the range includes vintage Olivetti typewriters, wooden pens and hand-printed jotters, all tastefully layed out in a festive vintage school classroom, complete with school desks and blackboards (Stop me, right there…)

All the  stock has been chosen to help you either organise or decorate your space, thereby ticking both the beautiful and functional boxes.

There are present ideas, as well as stylish accessories such as cards, vintage wrapping paper, gift tags, crackers and paper garlands. Prices start from about £3. Check it out, for stuff that’s way too cool for school…  Neil, deputy editor
